A visit from Brooks, Greg and Sophie

Last weekend we headed into central London to see our friends Brooks, Greg and Sophie, who were passing through en route to Saudia Arabia. Evie got dressed up in her best boy's clothing and tried to sport some stylin shades and the forbidden iphone.

Piccadilly Circus:

We planned to meet in Green Park, so that we could go to the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Jim and Evie had fun playing while I kept a look out for Brooks, Greg and Sophie:

Outside of Buckingham Palace. We were amused that the Queen's band played the Olympics theme and also the theme song for Star Wars among other classics.

Watching the horses from the best vantage point ever--Daddy's shoulders!

The Rhadighieris were cheerful, despite having jet lag. Greg was there, too, but he was hidden in the changing of the guards crowds.

Evie was definitely not into being so close to this horse. She shook her head no after this picture was taken and Jim dutifully moved away.

Iphone envy.

A family picture!

Jim and Greg (and sleeping Evie) at Westminster Abbey:

Back at our house, Evie watched Sophie very closely and so did I. I now know what I have to look forward to in the climbing and picking things up category. Sophie's strength and ability to move things that Evie can't amazed me! Evie also had to cope with having someone in her house that she couldn't be the boss of. When Sophie sat in Evie's chair and Evie wanted her out, Sophie just blew her off and eventually, a little confused, Evie gave up.

Bath time was fun and afterward Evie and Sophie had a mini-slumber party while the adults had dinner and caught up on old times. Brooks and I had some good laughs about high school drama and it was really fun to be all together again, if only for a day.
