Evie was NOT her best that evening, but Jackie was a good sport:
Eventually, Jackie got to relax with Jim and then she was off to see other London friends. It was great to see her!
On Saturday night, we went on a date!! We were VERY excited and started the evening off at the Rosslyn Arms...again.
Then we went to a French restaurant in our neighborhood called La Cellier du Midi. It was down in the basement of a building and run by a couple who have been there for 30 years.
The dinner was yummy, but the dessert was the best part. I had creme brulee. It wasn't really a tough decision and it was the best creme brulee I've ever had, I think (although I might say that almost every time I have creme brulee).
Jim had a Grand Marnier crepe, which didn't hold a candle to my creme brulee. Then they gave us little French cookies before we stumbled upstairs and back home again.
Sunday was a beautiful day so we decided to go for a family walk in the morning before heading to Clapham Junction to meet our friends for Rugby (men) and cafes (women). As usual, I had a little trouble motivating, so Jim took some nice pictures of Evie in the living room while I read about what 2 month old babies are supposed to be doing.
The weather has been so nice lately, and it feels like spring is here! But what usually happens is that the weahter gets really nice and then it gets cold again. So we are enjoying it while it lasts!
Finchley enjoyed the sunshine from his roost:
Flowers were blooming:
And Evie didn't really need her ears, so we took them off!
It was a happy day and a very nice weekend.
