Jim made me go to Segovia

We woke up latish after Lucas (http://www.lucasfree.com/)and I, for one, was feeling pretty haggard. But the mission of the day was to pick up the rental car and go to Segovia. We were under the impression that we had to pick our car up at the aiport, so we hopped on the metro and headed out there. We only realized that we had forgotten our passports when we were halfway there...so we knew that it was a wasted trip. The good thing is that the airport car rental people hooked us up with the car rental people TEN MINUTES FROM OUR HOTEL...so after the epic car rental journey, we got a good car and could head out to Segovia.

Segovia is one of those little hill towns. It was raining. JIm wanted to go to a place that specializes in suckling pig. And there was an Aquaduct. Good times.

Behold the aquaduct!!!

I have to admit that I was pretty impressed that the aquaduct was constructed without cement, but just was rocks that were strategically placed so that they could stand as a structure since the days of the Romans.

Segovia is undergoing some development, so Jim tried to make this picture look better by blocking a crane in the background with his head:

There was a big cathedral. And then it started to sleet and we decided that we could no longer handle the excitement that is Segovia and went back to Madrid.
