The Story of a Birthday

Once upon a time, there was a man who didn't believe that birthdays were a big deal. The day before his birthday, when asked if he was excited, his response was, "I haven't really thought about it." On the day of his birthday he also claimed not to have really thought about it and trundled off to work. When he called home and received a spontaneous burst of the Happy Birthday song, he just grunted. The very exciting socks, fingernail clippers and two gap shirts that the man received were not enough to pull him out of his non-birthday mood. The only person who could get through to the man was his baby, who offered him birthday greetings in the form of a yellow balloon.

Clearly, something had to be done about this Birthday Badditude (how do you even spell that fake word?) and the man's number one woman was on the job. Unbeknownst to the man, she had been working behind the scenes to plan a fabulous surprise party with all of his favorite London folk. With the help of the baby and some wonderful friends, the woman gathered everyone together to help make the man appreciate his birthday to its full extent. So, on the night of the man's birthday, under the guise of going out for a boring dinner, the man and his number one super awesome woman stopped off at a pub for a quick drink and...SURPRISE!!!!

All of the coolest London folk were there to celebrate!

At first the man was a little too cool to wear his favorite Happy Birthday Hat, but later in the night, as you will see from the pictures, he embraced his hat.

Friends of all ages came to celebrate with the man. His baby was a little jealous when she found out that her friend Oliver got to come to the party.

The man was having so much fun that he almost forgot that he had just turned 43!

The ladies flocked to the man on his birthday. What a stud!

And with the special powers that the Birthday Hat gave him, he won all the birthday jousts.

Before the stroke of midnight, the birthday party had to come to an end or the birthday boy was going to turn into a shot of vodka. Parting is such sweet sorrow.

In the morning when the man woke up, the baby was waiting for him with her yellow balloon.

Happy Birthday, Jim!

Happy Birthday Jim! Must be something about September 4th. Anthony is also not a big birthday guy, but since Xander he has started to enjoy it. Aren't children amazing?
